Napa Wine Bar

Custom glass and metal wall installation created for a restaurant/wine bar in Napa. We fabricated and assembled the glass components in this site specific piece.

I have worked as a designer since 1999, often blending digital technologies with object making. As a lead designer for Paper Source and Waste Not Paper (Chicago, Illinois) I assisted in designing and prototyping products for clients such as MoMA (NY) and the Nature Company. As an independent designer I have assisted in book design, model making for public art projects, and preparing images from initial digital photography to pre-press to production.

I received my BA from Yale University in 1994, with a double major in English and Studio Art. While there I focused on painting and printmaking, designing my own course of study my senior year. I received my MFA in Writing in 1998 from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, where I focused on digital offset printing and artist's books.

In addition to my design work, I am also an established artist. My work is in many private and public collections, including The Art Institute of Chicago (Chicago, IL), Brooklyn Museum (Brooklyn, NY), The Museum of Modern Art, (New York, NY), the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago, IL), and the Virginia Museum of Fine Art (Richmond, VA).
